A one-off go on the wheel

Taster sessions are single, no-commitment occasions where you and your group can try wheel-throwing together. No experience needed — everything is provided on the day, and our instructor will guide you through the whole thing.

What's included

How it differs from the six-week course

Taster sessions are a single, fun occasion — you get to try the wheel, make something, and take it home fired and glazed. That's the whole point: a taste of the craft, no commitment, just hands in clay for an afternoon or evening.

Taster session

One session. A few hours, one piece made, fired afterwards.

Perfect if you want to try it, impress a group, or just have a day out somewhere different.

Beginners course

Six weeks. You return weekly, build skills across the term, make multiple pieces and learn to glaze them yourself.

For anyone who wants to actually learn to throw — to understand the clay, dial in your hands, and keep getting better.
